USA Rice Presents Promotion Results to Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board

ROCK, AR — USA Rice Federation President and CEO
Betsy Ward presented the annual USA Rice Council
report to the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion
Board (ARRPB) today, March 4. Ward provided a
financial report and reviewed promotion program
results with the board, which is responsible for
allocating the state’s rice promotion and research
funds.
“We take our stewardship responsibility for Arkansas promotion funds very seriously and I want to thank the ARRPB for the opportunity to present program accomplishments and results to them in person each year,” Ward said.
In addition to the annual report, promotion program updates are given at other ARRPB meetings and information is routinely provided throughout the year. Today’s presentation included a look ahead at challenges and opportunities in domestic and international markets.
“I also would like to commend the Arkansas Rice Council, its representatives on the USA Rice Council Board and the Arkansas members who serve on promotion committees for their work in developing and overseeing successful promotion programs, which is a member-driven process,” Ward said.
