The meeting will provide updates on key issues that affect Arkansas rice farmers, including Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC), agriculture dust rules, pesticide permitting (NPDES), improvements to crop insurance products for rice, and a report on USA Rice Federation activities. Featured speaker Jim Wiesemeyer, Informa Economics, Washington Bureau, will discuss the new Congress and the outlook on the next farm bill. The meeting starts at 10:00 a.m. with lunch following.
